Overview

The GROW initiative was conceived to address the crisis faced by NGOs, who were shouldering the costs of acting as first responders for communities devastated during the pandemic. The GROW fund is a unique collective of philanthropists, to pool and deploy funding of INR 100 crores to support and sustain 100 grassroots NGOs for a period of 24 months. The objective of the GROW fund is to enable cohorts to operate optimally, be sustainable, reach the last mile, and create impact. The Fund achieves this by covering critical costs, building capabilities to recover from the COVID-19 crisis, and investing in organisation development for future readiness.

Additionally, the CCB support also includes 1:1 check-in with GROW’s 100 organisations through interactions that brought to the fore insights from activities, challenges, and plans of action building an understanding of investing in organisational capacity from a programmatic one. The GROW team leveraged mass media through multiple articles in leading sector publications and through public engagements.

Testimonials

"I was part of a workshop called Facilitation of Participatory Communication conducted by Vikalp Kriya. Facilitated by our now friends Anju and Prabir, this workshop was an experience of a lifetime. I learned the fact that individuals with opposing views and beliefs can coexist without demeaning one another. I gained knowledge about the culture of silence, the significance of equity, the value of participation rather than quantity, and the facilitator's responsibility. As a facilitator, it helped me to understand my role is not to exclusively give instruction".-Naitri Patel, Media & Communications Officer- AROEHAN.
