Overview

Holistic Development Program for Government Girls Schools focuses on enhancing government girl’s schools in Udaipur by addressing multiple aspects of education. The initiative has been designed to align with the New Education Policy, emphasizing the need for an inclusive, equitable, and holistic education system. In alignment of NEP, the program also supports several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) like- SDG-4(Quality Education), SDG-3(Good Health and Well Being), SDG-5 (Gender Equality), SDG-8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth).

Improving facilities is crucial to increasing enrolment in government schools. This includes essential facilities like Infrastructure Development, Digital Literacy, Health and Sanitation and many more. The significant decline in secondary school attendance, especially among girls, is attributed to inadequate facilities such as drinking water, separate toilets, proper teachers and infrastructure.

By keeping all these issues in mind, the IIFL Foundation in collaboration with Rajasthan Government and Education Department is supporting 102 government girls’ schools in 20 blocks for their enhancement. For this purpose, IIFL Foundation has signed the Memorandum Of Understanding (MOU) on 6th November 2024 with Government of Rajasthan and Education Department.
